âGreat Expectationsâ is a Hosta cultivar that features variegated, oval, puckered, basal leaves with creamy white centers and wide, irregular, blue-green margins. Leaf centers emerge gold in spring before aging to creamy white.
Racemes of bell-shaped, near-white flowers appear in summer on scapes rising above the foliage mound to 34â (85 cm) tall.
âGreat Expectationsâ is a sport of the long popular H. sieboldiana var. elegans. Introduced by Bond/Aden 1988.
