Hosta 'Great Expectations'

Omschrijving

‘Great Expectations’ is a Hosta cultivar that features  variegated, oval, puckered, basal leaves with creamy white centers and wide, irregular, blue-green margins. Leaf centers emerge gold in spring before aging to creamy white.
Racemes of bell-shaped, near-white flowers appear in summer on scapes rising above the foliage mound to 34” (85 cm) tall.
’Great Expectations’ is a sport of the long popular H. sieboldiana var. elegans. Introduced by Bond/Aden 1988.

Bloom season:
From the end of June till July.

Size:
Foliage 22-24” (55-60 cm) tall; will spread to 30-34” (75-85 cm) wide. Flowering height 34” (85 cm).

Location:
Light shade.

Culture:
Needs a lot of water.
USDA zone 3-8.
Slow growth rate.
