Tiarella is a superb native groundcover that deserves greater use. It is low maintenance and after at least four to six weeks of foamy white to light pink flowers, it carries on the rest of the season with foliage of striking patterns. Both spreading and clumping varieties are a welcome addition to any shade garden. Beautiful large deeply lobbed leaves wich are heavily marked with a maroon center.
